SHELBURNE TOWN COUNCIL APPOINTS A NEW CAO

Wednesday January 24, 2018 – 9:45 pm SHELBURNE TOWN COUNCIL APPOINTS A NEW CAO Mayor Ken Bennington and the Council of the Town of Shelburne are pleased to announce the appointment of Denyse Morrissey to the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Town of Shelburne effective February 26, 2018.

Ms. Morrissey is currently CAO for the Town of Meaford where she has assisted the Council with implementing extensive reviews of all aspects of town operations. A graduate of Dalhousie University with an MPA, and many years of senior municipal management experience in larger urban municipalities. Morrissey said she is "looking forward to working with Shelburne Council and staff to meet the challenges of rapid growth and an increasingly complex legislative and regulatory environment for municipalities.

" I am very pleased that Denyse will be joining us" said Mayor Bennington. " There will be lots for her to learn about Shelburne, but with her background, I have no doubt she will hit the ground running".

The appointment of Denyse Morrissey to the position of Chief Administrative Officer will take effect February 26, 2018.
