This Year’s guest speaker is Scott McNeil-Smith, National Director with Excellence in Manufacturing Consortium (EMC)
Manufacturing is a key economic engine in Ontario and the development of future skills and capabilities is recognized as essential to competing in the fourth industrial revolution, while growing and sustaining business here at home.
Economic growth requires investment in future skills, enhanced integration of technology and a key understanding of how technological advancements can enable job growth and better relationships with customers… but not without its challenges. The rapid advance of technology is accelerating demand for new and enhanced expertise not yet defined. This new reality will require a strategic approach to addressing skills shortages, to ensure we have a workforce that is not only productive now and for years to come, but also here.
Join Scott, as he presents these issues affecting manufacturing and how industries of all sizes are seeking to build next generation approaches, by leveraging future skills and new capabilities.
