The Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex is owned by the Town of Shelburne, the Town of Mono and Melancthon and Amaranth Townships and managed by the CDRC Board of Management. Built in 1977, the community facility consists of a 900-seat arena, an outdoor heated Olympic-sized pool and a 4000-square-foot banquet hall.

The arena surface has ice from mid-August until the first of April. Ice sports are provided for children and teens, and men women, young and old. The full schedule includes 15 Shelburne Minor Hockey tournaments, regional figure skating events, men's recreational tournaments and senior men's hockey as well as a women's broomball league. We host summer hockey camps in August and are home to the World Junior Hockey League School for Canadian, American and European hockey hopefuls. Ice sports are provided for children and teens and men and women, young and old.

Three days after the ice season is over, the summer schedule begins. The Shelburne Home Show and the Shelburne Fall Fair are bookends for activities from April 1 to mid-September. Lacrosse, women's ball hockey, video an live entertainment dances make the CDRC a happening place. As well, the nationally recognized Canadian Old Time Fiddle Contest is held at the CDRC on the second weekend in August. The swimming pool is seasonal, operating from early June until Labour Day weekend. Swimming lessons, public and family swims keep the pool busy from dawn to dusk during this time.

The newly renovated Town and Country Room provides an all-year-round community hall. Weddings, anniversaries and Buck and Does use the air conditioned room as well as other organizations for booster clubs, youth dances and Christian Women’s Club meetings. Aerobic Fitness Classes and Taikwon-do Classes keep the room occupied during the week.
