Hyland Pavilion – The Pavilion at Hyland Park is being restored in conjunction with the Canada 150 Program. It will be upgraded to increase the headroom and add new bathrooms to the building. The old bathrooms at the park will be repurposed. The hydro for the Pavilion will run underground and also provide a new service pedestal for the ball diamond lights. This project is scheduled to be complete by the end of April 2017.
Fiddle Park Pavilion – Construction will begin soon for a new pole barn structure at the Fiddle Park behind No Frills on the Second Line. Funding for this structure was raised in part by Greg and Heather Holmes through the last few years of “Pickin in the Park”. The base for this structure was completed in the fall of 2016 and the new structure is scheduled to be complete by May 17, 2017.
Sewage Treatment Plant Filter Upgrades – New filters for the sewage treatment plant have been funded in part by both the Federal and Provincial levels of government. The new filters have been installed and are working as they are supposed to. Part of this project included the upgrading of the generator that backups the system in case of a power failure. This project is nearing completion.
Road Improvements – there will be various asphalt improvements happening throughout the Town of Shelburne during the coming months.
Please be patient with our contractors and employees during the construction season while we are making improvements to our small but growing town.
